Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and raised in northern Virginia, Fior is a multimedia artist who works in video, sound, sculpture, and performance. Fior’s work explores alternative temporalities, or loops in time and memory, and their relationships to landscape. Relationships remain at the core of Fior’s practice, and materialize as a focus on collaboration and community within and beyond each project. Fior is a recent graduate of Williams College, and is based between Williamstown, MA and Washington, DC.

My name is Fior Daniela, and in this presentation I will guide you through some selected video and sound works, including two projects I have recently produced for clients and collaborators.

This past fall I had the opportunity to work with painter Murray Hochman, and spent three months interviewing him to create a short sonic documentary about his practice.
