Eight Interesting Aspects - The Last Continent Explored: Slavery, Commodities, and Peril - Ken Habeeb
Kenneth Habeeb is a writer and map collector who has contributed pieces for Calafia, the journal of the California Map Society. His collecting interests include maps of Africa and, more recently, of China during the Opium Wars.
Today, he presents "Africa, According to Mr. D'Anville," an extraordinary and at times bizarre snapshot of European beliefs about Africa in the decades before widespread European conquest on the continent.
