Taking this motorway north would lead you to a major city called Malchiongga. It would then take you through a mountain range before arriving at a vast, open, prairie-like plateau.

Even before relocating planets, Furbyland has underwent multiple boundary changes. From 2021 - 2023, the city-state had an inland annex bordering Schwartz, Fellens, and Geilboe.

Taking this motorway would lead you to Wambocca, home to the infamous Wasp Nest prison complex. For reference, think of Alcatraz during its heyday, but over 100 times larger.

I can't quite recall process for naming the archipelago to the south of the mainland. While I did have an idea of an indigenous language for that area, I had not formulated a writing or orthographical system yet. Hence, place names do not seem to have much linguistic pattern to them.

Driving east would lead you to Los Furbies Island, a creation of my close friend. The city/island can be described as a helter-skelter checkerboard of neighborhoods like Los Angeles, with the glamour of Vegas, crammed to densities worse than Manhattan.

Furbyland, being the centerpiece of this map, has a more detailed breakdown of its administrative subdivisions. Most prominently featured are its various ethnic enclaves, a testament to the city-state's teeming diversity. The geographical position and names of these quarters have changed since.

Mayaseko Airport --- Ani's primary --- can be seen in the background, hotel and control tower protruding.

Here one can see drafts of various hotel logos. I was practicing to put the logos on the buildings, many of which are hotels serving the airport as well as the business conference goers that frequent Aerocity.

Rolling, treeless hills and mountains show that I was definitely inspired by the landscape of Colorado's Front Range when making this drawing.

One way that I'd connote a city as being a "bad city" or a "failed city" is by drawing weirdly designed places, such as this airport runway layout.

Another way I'd imply a wonky city is by creating annexes/exclaves of the city limits just for the sake of including places like a landfill or nuclear plant as part of the city.

A third method to suggesting a weirdly designed city is by making a city's downtown / CBD suburban in character, as seen by the prevalence of cul-de-sacs, no-outlets, and general lack of street grid.

A fourth way to make a city appear poorly designed is by implementing a subway line with two stops, none of them even inside the main city (Los Misha is a suburb).

A fifth way is to make weird road names. E.g., "Stinky", "Zoo", "House", "Luxury", etc. No suffixes like Rd., St., Ave. etc.

There some cities like in the United Kingdom that have suffix-less road names, but those are the result of historical use of those roads and not one of recent, "artificial" etymology.

This subway system is more functional, but is still way too far away from Downtown Mishatown.

Ironically, this subway line is arguably more useful than if it were situated in the city center.

Note the small size and claustrophobia of the street blocks in the Girgaum area, especially in neighborhoods like Kamatipura. These were where the majority of the cotton mills (and the millworkers) resided.

In contrast, look at Byculla, built by the Bombay Improvement Trust (BIT), with its larger, more spacious blocks. Location of the famous Agripada Chawl.

Still largely wooded forest, but there are proposed roads...

The BIT was evidently interested in developing Mahim Woods.

The road outline proposed from the 1921 map appears to have been realized without much deviation. 

Also notice the sole prevalence of detached buildings, more meandering street plan, and integration of greenery, both characteristic of a Garden City type city plan.

Notice the presence of a private bathroom (i.e., private plumbing), but also that the bath/WC are located inside the main dwelling.

Notice how in this floor plan, the bath/WC are located outside the main dwelling in the verandah.

This design is more in line with Indian middle class tastes, as bathrooms next to the living facilities were considered unsanitary.
